I went for cafe hunting recently with my dear friend. This time we went to Warunk Koffie at Bandar Pinggiran Subang, Shah Alam, Selangor. A nice setup cafe with furniture and interiors mainly made from woods and steel, giving the cafe a 'rustic' look.
Chicken Wonderland - RM28
A piece of grill Chicken breast topped with sautee mushroom and cheese served with salad and mash potatoes. The chicken is fresh and juicy but the sauce is a bit sweet. Big portion *yeay .. happy tummy .. lol*
Aloha Chicken - RM28
A pan-fried marinated chicken breast served with salad, mash potato, 2 slices of pineapple and a special sauce. Sweet pineapple, dip it to the sauce for extra taste. Nice!
Hot Latte - RM10
I am a coffee lover. Well, not too bad if I say that I relied on coffee to boost my mood or to heal my headache. This is because of the Caffeine, a natural substance found in more than 60 plant species includes coffee. Once consumed, caffeine will be quickly absorbed by the gut into the bloodstream. Then it will travel to the liver and broken down into compounds and affect various organs including our brain. Despite some bad news we heard about caffeine, it actually has various health benefits and the main effect is on our brain where it improves our mood and brain function. But do not overtake caffeine especially in coffee because when it comes to mood, more caffeine is not necessarily better.
Caffeine in coffee also increase energy level, increase metabolism rate but hey .. not necessary coffee because as I mentioned earlier, caffeine is also found in 60 other plants .. choco, tea, nuts, etc .. etc...
A cup of Hot Latte a day is enough for me. The hot latte served at Warunk Koffie is perfect! Not too milky but very tasty. I do not mind to repeat!
